We have been on the web since 1997; since then, hundreds of services have popped up claiming to offer professional resumes. As I am always interested in competition, I check these sites out....VERY few are legitimate, at least in terms of offering real value. Most promise very inexpensive pricing or claim to be "the best" yet do not list any credentials or display samples. Please - do not hire a company who is secretive about their past or the quality of their work. When searching for a quality resume writing service, don't be fooled by "free" rewrites and 30-day guarantees (we do it right the FIRST time....and guarantee your complete satisfaction with the final product.) Don't hire a service that doesn't even offer a real contact name or clear credentials (anyone can say they are experienced, we PROVE it and even offer a real picture of director to boot!). Don't hire a service that promises HR experience as a qualification (most hiring is ultimately done by a senior manager, NOT an HR director - and most HR professionals have no resume writing training or writing background whatsoever). Don't hire a service without seeing representative samples (if their samples don't impress you, move on). Review not only the layout, but read the content - it should be powerful and very centered on achievements, NOT just responsibilities.  Don't hire a service who promises "cheap and fast" work (heck, you can do that yourself). Don't hire a service that claims to "be the best" (who can accurately make that claim without a detailed and analyzed data report?). Don't hire an office support company that just "types" resumes (without on-going   resume writing education and experience, these office services just can't keep up). Don't hire a service without comparing pricing, sample work, certifications, credentials and personalized service offerings (would you hire a lawyer without any prior knowledge of past history?) There are hundreds of "supposed" professional resume writing services on the WEB...do your homework before you invest and realize that only a handful of services are fully qualified to build a high-impact resume (we're one of them!)
